Sometimes, when you're a work-at-home-mom, you just need to make things that aren't for selling...

Yay for scrap bins!

Awe...I remember making a nap blankie for Aidan...or was it Alec...out of this stuff.

When you make things just for the fun of it, you don't have to worry so much about frayed edges and seams that don't quite match up.

And to heck with hems!

Come to think of it, I think the hems on that nap blankie were pretty wonkie too.

I don't think it matters too much...

I gotta say, it sure is fun to have a girl around here to sew for now!

I got some new curtains started for her too, using a pile of sweet fabric I bought for a drapie dress pattern I never got around to tackling. I don't do well with patterns...

But I had a bit of a musical interlude to attend to this afternoon.

What a sweet little Power Ranger picnic playdate it was!

I can finish those curtains up with coffee tomorrow.

It looks like I wasn't the only bee in the hive to get into the scrap pile today!

Love and Honey,

thanks robin! i'm telling you, if you can measure, iron, and sew in a straight line, you would be flabbergasted at all the stuff you can make! a few simple techniques and you'll be on your way...or you could just get really handy with a glue gun!
